It offers shrimps and especially dwarf crayfish an ideal cave to hide in and at the same time a place to escape when stronger conspecifics pass by in the hiding place. Dwarf crayfish in particular need a hiding place because they also like to retreat in nature. Shrimps - especially egg-bearing female shrimps - also like a quiet place and gratefully accept the cave. The narrow crevices at the top of the cave are ideal for attaching plants or moss. Several caves next to each other or on top of each other make a brilliant eye-catcher, also results in a beautiful contrast to green and red aquarium plants.
A little tip on the side: Caves are best placed in the aquarium so that you can look into the opening - so you have your aquarium inhabitants in view and they still have a nice hiding place.
