The very fine granules have a grain size of 1.4-2 mm and can thus be easily fed by the small mouths. For larger bottom dwellers the BugBites food for large bottom-feeding fish in pellet form with 17-20 mm sticks, which we also carry in our store. Insects make up the main part of the food of wild fish, therefore the main ingredient in BugBites food is also present in the form of insect proteins.
For this purpose, we mainly rely on the larva of the black soldier fly, which can be quickly and conveniently bred and has an excellent nutritional profile. In this way you can supply your pets naturally and species-appropriate in the aquarium. Hermetia illuscens has been known for a long time as a high-quality protein supplier. Combined with flawless salmon, which provides essential omega 3 and 6 fatty acids as well as fish proteins, and mixed with important amino acids and vitamins, BugBites fish food for bottom-dwelling fish prevents nutritional deficiencies and also supports healthy growth and defenses.
For two weeks, the larvae of the black soldier fly are fed with fruits and vegetables that were originally intended for human consumption and would otherwise have ended up in the trash. This is followed by gentle drying and mixing with salmon and other healthy substances. The resource-saving and sustainable production in very small batches allows the greatest possible freshness. The optimal distribution between vegetable and animal proteins ensures good digestibility and supports well-being. The high proportion of insect proteins also stimulates the natural eating behavior of your animals.
The different finely granulated main feed has a grain size of 1.4-2 mm and sinks at different rates. Feed only as much as the animals can take in 5 minutes and vacuum up food residues so that no sludge forms in the aquarium.
