Freeze-dried food like our JBL NovoFex is a great alternative to live or frozen food, which is often overstocked or too often interrupted in the cold chain. The complex but gentle vacuum freeze-drying process preserves all the nutrients of the insect protein. High-quality omega-3 fats and high protein content also promote growth. This pure cube food, which consists entirely of dried Tubifex, is great as a treat and can be added to the usual food. Even turtles and difficult fish can be encouraged to eat this food, as well as armored catfish, which tend to burrow.

This pure protein food can be offered regularly. The cubes float up at first, but are soon discovered by the fish and plucked apart with relish. Alternatively, you can crumble the cubes between your fingers so that even smaller snouts can get some. It can be fed daily as a supplement, during breeding, but also for growing young fish it can be offered several times a day.

Airtight packaging prevents loss of vitamins and freshness. It has a shelf life of four months after opening, and three years when closed. Feed only as much as the animals can consume in 5 minutes and vacuum up leftover food. Reduce the amount of food accordingly at the next feeding.
