Fill the underwater pot with some substrate before planting. Ideal for this purpose is a plant soil, which is rich in nutrients and supplies the plants well through the roots, but also an aquarium gravel does its job. In this case, you would then need to introduce fertilizer in the form of a fertilizer capsule or a fertilizer tab for aquarium plants.
