GRNLO - Blockshelter round

The white GRNLO Blockshelter round is a modern, pretty cool shaped shrimp cave, catfish cave or crab cave. The Blockshelter is shaped like a brick, but has round caves that don't allow as much mulm and dirt to collect as square holes.

The interestingly shaped cave unit for the aquarium is 4.7 cm long, 6 cm high and 6 cm deep. Here are a whole sixteen caves layered on top of each other. The round caves have a diameter of about 1 cm and are therefore suitable for dwarf crayfish, small catfish and also for dwarf shrimp and small large-armed shrimp. The edges of the cave unit are slightly rounded as a precaution so that catfish or other aquarium inhabitants cannot hurt themselves on it.

The Blockshelter round is made of noble light ceramic and is suitable as a home for several smaller catfish, shrimp or dwarf crayfish. The Blockshelter round is optimal especially for dwarf crayfish or small large arm shrimp: The open caves at the back allow the small pinchers to avoid potential stressors.  

The surface of the Blockshelter consists of fine-pored ceramic, which promotes the settlement of biofilms. This is the home of important filter bacteria that can clean the water of organic and inorganic pollutants, thereby increasing water quality. Catfish, shrimp, aquarium snails and small crayfish also love to graze on these biofilms.

You can complement and break up the cool, clean look of the Blockshelter cave unit for the aquarium with mosses or perching plants such as Anubias, Bucephalandra, various ferns or pinnate water lilac (Hygrophila pinnatifida). A good cyanoacrylate-based plant adhesive is ideal for gluing the mosses and epiphytic plants to the cave. With classic twine the attachment also works of course.
