This not only makes it easy for tiny snouts to eat, it also crumbles easily between the fingers and is therefore also suitable for growing young fish. As a perfect food source, insects are an important point in the habitats of fish, so that these are the main components in Bug Bites food.
Here the larvae of the black soldier fly are used, which is already known as a high-quality protein supplier and can be bred in an uncomplicated and resource-saving way. These feed on organic waste, so the larvae for BugBites production are fed with fruits and vegetables that are usually intended for human consumption and would have ended up in the trash under other circumstances.
After fourteen days, the larvae are gently dried and mixed with high quality salmon, rich in omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, and supplemented with other important vitamins, minerals, amino acids and other trace nutrients that are essential for the health of your fish. This prevents malnutrition and associated deficiency symptoms. The high proportion of insect protein stimulates the instinctive eating behavior of the fish, so that they accept the BugBites with particular pleasure. By the way, artificial colorants or attractants are not added to the can!
The microgranules sink relatively slowly, so that the fish from the upper and middle water layers can take them up very well. When crushed, it even floats for a short time. With a grain size of 0,7-1 mm it is perfectly suitable for mini fish and nano fish, but also for the fry of other fish.
