Shrimp tube for planting 5 cm - 2 cm

The Shrimptube for planting is a dark brown ceramic tube closed at the back, on which moss can be optimally tied. The Shrimptubes are handmade in Germany and modeled and fired only from high quality clay. Thus, they are water stable and do not affect the water values.

Thanks to their small dimensions, they do not stand out strongly in the aquarium. Of course, the Shrimptubes are also suitable for small dwarf crayfish, which find ideal hiding places here and can also be caught from the aquarium quite stress-free and comfortably with the clay tube. Simply wait until the crayfish is sitting in the tube and then carefully lift it out of the water with the opening pointing slightly upwards.

Greened with moss, Shrimptubes blend beautifully and unobtrusively into the overall look of a naturalistic aquarium.

The rough ceramic surface offers a good surface to colonize for a huge number of bacteria that eliminate pollutants. Through their activity, these microorganisms positively influence water values by reducing and eliminating potentially hazardous substances such as nitrite and ammonia.
