This beautiful little cave is a great shelter that shrimp, especially shrimp offspring and dwarf crayfish love to use. Shrimp and dwarf crayfish often need a place to hide: pregnant females, animals that are about to molt or that have just shed their skin need peace and cover. In the Nanoiglu they find protection and a place of retreat.
Ceramic always has a somewhat roughened surface, which provides a substrate for the valuable biofilms with pollutant-degrading bacteria to settle. Thus, the Nanoiglu not only contributes to the appearance of the aquarium and to the stress reduction of the animals, but it also helps to improve the water quality.
Of course, the nano igloo is also suitable as a hiding place for small crabs in an aqua terrarium.
If you do not want to use the lovingly designed nano igloo as an eye-catcher, you can plant it with some moss and make it visually disappear a bit in front of green backgrounds. Thanks to the rough and structured surface, the moss - if it is a species with adhesive roots - grows well and reliably.
