Resource conservation and controlled production are the focus of the manufacturing process. Since insects also make up the majority of fish nutrition in nature, high-quality insect proteins come in the food bag, mixed with high-quality salmon and vital omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, as well as amino and vitamins and minerals, the Bug Bites fish food prevents deficiency symptoms and is also particularly well tolerated.
The larva of the black soldier fly (Hermetia illuscens) has been known for a long time as a high-quality protein supplier and can be sustainably bred, so this is the main ingredient of the fish food. The larvae are fed with fruits and vegetables from the trade for human consumption, which would usually have been sorted out and destroyed. Thus, sustainable and resource-saving production is writ large at BugBites. And this food produced in this way can be fed - because full of healthy nutrients, the subsequently gently dried insect larvae represent an important food component.
Mixed with high-quality salmon and vegetables and supplemented with additional minerals, BugBites offers bottom-feeding fish an optimal ratio of vegetable and animal proteins that are highly digestible. This ensures healthy scales, strong colors and vitality. The high proportion of insect protein stimulates the instinctive eating behavior of the fish, so that they accept the BugBites with particular pleasure. Artificial colorants or attractants are not used here, however!
The fast sinking sticks have a size of 17-20 mm and are therefore especially suitable for medium and large mouths of bottom dwellers. However, feed only as much as the animals can take up in 5 minutes and suck off leftover food so that no gamma spots form in the aquarium.
