And that is why the main ingredient in Bug Bites cichlid food is the larva of the black soldier fly. These are bred in a controlled manner and fed with fruits and vegetables from the trade, which under other circumstances would have ended up in the garbage. Fed in such a rich and healthy way, the larvae are gently dried after fourteen days, enriched with salmon, other amino acids and important nutrients, and then extruded into pellets or granules. Thanks to the instinctive eating behavior of the fish, the feed is therefore particularly readily accepted. Interestingly, BugBites do not contain any additional colorants, attractants or preservatives!

Unique and sustainable processes are a priority in the production of BugBites food, so the "larval food" - fruit and vegetables for human consumption - is sourced regionally and the fish food is thus always produced fresh and in only small batches. The Bug Bites food for cichlids has a pellet size of 5-7 mm and is therefore perfectly suitable for large snouts of medium to large fish.
