Spawning fibers

So that your darlings can reproduce splendidly in the aquarium and pond, the use of our spawning fibers is worthwhile. The fine gossamer does not rot in the water and provides retreat and safety for the smallest, but even more so for the valuable fish eggs. So they can grow in peace and are safe from being eaten. They are also suitable for rearing shrimp young and even more so for spawning highly predatory fish.

We recommend to rinse the spawning fibers before the first use to remove possible transport residues, but also to let them soak up water. If necessary, the spawning fibers can be kneaded a little under water in the aquarium or pond until they stay in place. Then pluck them apart a bit and leave them in the water in a corner that is calm to the current.

Place the spawning fibers spread out on the bottom of the spawning aquarium and then add the broodstock. As soon as they have laid their eggs in the fine wool, remove the fish again and take the necessary steps so that the first larvae will soon hatch from the fish eggs.

Every now and then, the fibers should be rinsed out to remove the mulm of the fish babies. However, make sure that there are no more young or eggs in them.
