Micro filter mat - 1.2 x 0.5m

The thin microfilter mat allows particularly thorough fil tration in the aquarium and can be optimally placed in layers in the external filter. Here it ensures the removal of the finest dirt particles and turbidity and, thanks to its huge enlarged surface, offers a myriad of useful microorganisms a place to settle and multiply. These little helpers in particular contribute effectively to the breakdown of pollutants, as they rapidly convert organic waste such as food residues, but also dead plant parts.

Of course, the great microfilter mat can also be cut into shape with scissors and is also suitable for replacing filter media in backpack filters or internal filters. However, if possible, insert the microfilter mat at the very last position in the filter so that it does not become clogged directly by coarse dirt. Always filter from coarse to fine and maintain the filter media regularly. The synthetic fibers of the filter mat are water neutral and can be used in the aquarium without hesitation.

We do not recommend washing out the microfilter mat, as the fine fibers quickly become compacted and would therefore filter hardly at all. Therefore, replace the mat at regular intervals to always achieve an optimal result and keep the water quality as high as possible. With a bacteria preparation such as our Crusta Bacter Liquid, the lost bacteria can be quickly replaced.
