To feed your vegetarian sucking cat fish optimally, the JBL NovoPleco is ideal. The food for herbivorous catfish should contain at least 10% wood and this is already "built in" to the practical chips. Thanks to the new formula they are water stable and therefore do not pollute the water unnecessarily, as the animals can grate the chips with pleasure. Especially shy specimens have the opportunity to eat in peace of mind.

The chips sinkand contain high-quality spirulina algae as well as green food and energy-giving wheat germ. Thanks to the novel Novo formula, the phosphate content has also been adjusted so that the chips are easier to digest and thus lead to less excretion by the fish. This not only increases their well-being, but also actively inhibits algae growth caused by excessive phosphate levels.

Please note that not every sucking catfish is a herbivore, especially the zebra catfish, Hypancistrus zebra, is more of a carnivore, preferring to eat red mosquito larvae and is therefore counted among the carnivores. Feed sparingly and only as much as your animals  eat in a short time. Remaining food residues should be removed in time so that they do not start to rot.

The airtight packaging prevents loss of vitamins and freshness. This staple food has a shelf life of four months after opening, and three years when closed. To add variety to the daily menu, it can also be excellently supplemented with other treats such as NovoFex or NovoArtemio.
