Shrimpshelter XXL - hiding place for shrimps and crayfish in the aquarium

The Shrimpshelter XXL is the larger version of our popular Minishelter, which we also offer in the store. With a size of 18x11x7 cm, this is therefore super suitable for larger shrimp crayfish and small catfish. Due to the open shape on both sides, it serves perfectly as a retreat, which the animals can use as a great observation point and leave immediately if they are confronted with rivals. Also the Shrimpshelter XXLwurde made of high quality special clay and was fired several times in the oven, so that it is absolutely water-neutral and waterproof.

The huge porous surface serves as a great settlement place for microorganisms, which significantly improve the quality of the aquarium water by their cleaning function, but are also very happy to be grazed by invertebrates. In addition, the "roof" of the Shrimpshelter can be planted with moss or small perching plants.

Thanks to the calming and very natural color of this hiding place, the Shrimpshelter, whose edges are all rounded and reduce the risk of injury to zero, can be easily integrated into any aquarium layout and is immediately accepted by the animals.

Tip: From time to time you should lift the Shrimpshelter and suck off the mulm which has developed under it with a mulmglocke.
