Shirakura Chi Ebi - Special rearing food for baby shrimp

Shirakura Chi Ebi - rearing food is a mixed preparation specially produced for the shrimp offspring with many important ingredients, which especially baby shrimp need inthe first weeks for healthy growth.

Besides, it also supports the formation of microorganisms and the mostly invisible microorganisms, which digest excrements and food residues in the bottom substrate and serve as a vital nutritional basis for the shrimps, especially the baby shrimps.

How desirable and necessary this is, is especially noticeable when, for example, you dig around the bottom substrate a little with your hand. It often takes only seconds and the shrimp gather exactly at this spot to meet their need for animal proteins by eating the now freely accessible microorganisms and microbes. In order to ensure this important nutritional basis constantly and in sufficient quantity, Chi Ebi should be fed regularly (see feeding recommendation below).

Research by students at the University of Fisheries Research in Hokkaido/Japan has shown that when Shirakura's Chi Ebi rearing feed is used, considerably more baby shrimp survive and develop significantly better than in experimental aquariums without Chi Ebi. Microscopic examinations showed that the population of microorganisms, which are particularly important for baby shrimps, was 10 times higher when Chi Ebi was used than in the otherwise identical comparison tanks. Further observations and thus positive side effects were an improved color development in the shrimps, as well as crystal clear water.
