SEACHEM - Purigen

Purigen from Seachem is an innovative and extremely effective filter media in aquarium water treatment and can be used in both fresh and marine water. The unique macroporous synthetic polymer is able to remove soluble and insoluble impurities from water up to 5 times faster than conventional filter media.

Choose from these variants: 100, 250 or 500 ml.

This removes nitrogenous wastes such as ammonia, nitrates and nitrites that would otherwise have an unfavorable effect on water values. In addition, the water becomes crystal clear again when filtered with Purigen. The medium shows its degree of exhaustion through a dark coloration and can be regenerated very easily.

Application: Rinse Purigen well before use to remove abrasion caused by transport. Then place the filter media in a fine mesh filter bag (180 microns or less) and place it in a very well flushed location in your filter.  Use 250 ml of Purigen for 1000 liters of water. The service life is approximately 6 months.
