SEACHEM - Ammonia Alert

The Ammonia Alert is based on Seachem sensor technology and is suitable for monitoring free ammonia in freshwater and marine aquariums. For over a year, the alarm reliably and continuously monitors toxin-free ammonia. At the same time, the sensor is small and unobtrusive and does not cloud the view into the aquarium.

The innovative continuous test works thanks to a color scale and detects and monitors toxin-free ammonia. A sensor changes reversibly from yellow to green to blue in relation to the ammonia concentration. No additional test kits, chemicals or further procedures are required. The instrument detects less than 0.05 mg/l (ppm) free ammonia and alerts you to an increase in time.

In the absence of free ammonia, the instrument will turn a yellow or faint yellow-green color. E is normal for the dry sensor to have a greenish tint. It may take several days for a dry sensor to equilibrate with the water. The response time to detect free ammonia is approximately 15 minutes. The response to a decrease is slightly slower and takes approximately 4 hours.

Application: Place the ammonia test in the aquarium and avoid touching the sensor directly with your fingers. For best results, read the sensor under natural daylight.
