The rearing box can be put together in no time and placed in the parent aquarium. The practical center strut allows for the care of two expectant mothers at the same time. Conveniently, the heavily pregnant ladies do not have to be taken out of their familiar water and re-homed beforehand, which significantly reduces stress. The bottom plate allows the fry to immediately escape the mouths of their mothers and move to safety. Once these are returned, the center strut and bottom plate can be removed and the young can be raised in the rearing box until they are safe from being eaten.
