Rearing box for livebearer ornamental fish

Especially livebearers such as guppies, mollies and platies reproduce quite diligently in the aquarium, but the parents also very often chase their offspring. It is not always possible to raise the young in a separate tank. Our rearing box for livebearers provides a remedy here! With only little effort you can correct the rate of your young animals upwards.

Choose the rearing box from two sizes!

The practical rearing box is put together in a few simple steps and fixed to an aquarium pane by means of the strong suction cups . The funnel-shaped separating disc is placed inside and the pregnant females are inserted. This way the expectant mothers do not have to be accustomed to a new aquarium and can remain in the same water. After they are born, the young can escape directly into the lower part of the rearing box from the mouths of their mothers and are thus safe from being eaten. After spawning the females are put back and the young can grow in the rearing box until they are big enough to be transferred to the community aquarium as well.

To keep the young fish healthy from the beginning and to support them in their growth, we recommend a suitable baby food like our YoungFeed. This can be offered sparingly to the babies several times a day. The rearing box should also be kept very clean so that the young do not fall ill.
