Shrimp, crayfish, catfish and snails love wood and especially branches to nibble and run around on. Shrimp and snails like to graze the surfaces for biofilms, and crayfish and catfish like to eat the wood itself for the fiber they need to live. The plum tree, a popular fruit tree, has medium soft wood. Plum trees used commercially in agriculture are often unfortunately treated intensively with pesticides, self-gathering is therefore relatively critical - our invertebrates do not tolerate pesticides of any kind at all well.

Our plum trees are untreated, Garnelio plum branches come from controlled cultivation and are a 100% natural product. You can use them without hesitation with your invertebrates and fish.

Plum wood contains tannins, which make the water pleasant for invertebrates and fish, and minerals as well as trace elements. With the 10 cm long plum branches you can decorate your aquarium very close to nature and build nice hiding places for young shrimps and crayfish.

At the beginning it can happen that the branches float up, then they should be weighted down.
