Since time immemorial a real all-rounder in aquaristics, walnut leaves have long been convincing with their broad spectrum of action. However, since brown and green foliage are likely to differ, we offer here, in addition to the green Nano Walnut Leaves, also the brown nano walnut leaves leaves in the store. Already centuries ago people knew about the positive benefits of the walnut tree on the human body, but they are also highly valued in the aquarium. Our green nano walnut tree leaves were collected by hand in late summer from healthy Black Forest walnut trees and gently air-dried.

Green nano walnut leaves have small amounts of residual sugar, which mainly affect the growth of microfauna, which thus demonstrate increased activity and serve as a snack for invertebrates. In addition, they have an antibacterial effect, which has a positive influence especially prophylactically against external infections in fish. In contrast to brown walnut foliage, it even holds a broader range of ingredients and active substances that have a positive effect on water hygiene and thus on animal health. As food for herbivorous aquarium inhabitants such as dwarf shrimps, crayfish, snails, but also loricariids it can also be used excellently.

Nano Wanussbaumblätter can float up in the aquarium at the beginning. Therefore, they can be weighted down with aquarium decorations, for example, but also briefly scalded with hot water. You can also just let them float until they sink on their own after a few days. The brief boiling softens the cell structure of the leaves, making their active ingredients available more quickly to all aquarium inhabitants.

The slight coloring of the water after introducing the Nano Walnut leaves is caused, among other things, by the active ingredient juglone, but this is harmless.

Usage:
1-2 leaves per 15-25 liters of tank volume.  The initially floating leaves sink to the bottom after a few days, where they can be left until complete decomposition. Leaves that have not decomposed can be removed after a few days.
