The Penthouse XL is a very extravagant shrimp cave, catfish cave or crab cave made of light-colored ceramic for several smaller catfish, shrimp or dwarf crabs. The beautifully curved cave unit for the aquarium is 13 cm long, 8 cm high and 9.2 cm deep. Here are a whole eleven caves layered on top of each other. You can expand the living units as you wish by placing or stacking several Penthouse XL caves seamlessly next to each other.

The GRNLO Penthouse XL is a beautiful, thanks to its light color very chic and elegant looking hiding place for the aquarium. The edges of this cave are rounded to minimize the risk of skin injuries to catfish and other aquarium animals.

Due to its high porosity, the surface of the ceramic cave allows filter bacteria to settle in biofilms, which clean the water and improve the water quality - and which, on the other hand, catfish, shrimps, valuable aquarium snails and small crayfish like to graze on.

If you want to conceal the modern look of the caves, you can plant the Penthouse XL aquarium cave with mosses or perennials such as Anubias or Bucephalandra, ferns or Hygrophila pinnatifida. It is best to simply glue the plants to the cave with a good cyanoacrylate based plant glue.
