With the Crusta Cave open at the bottom with its unconventional shape, you set an interesting accent in the aquarium, aquaterrarium or terrarium and at the same time provide your crabs, aquarium shrimps or dwarf shrimps and also fan shrimps with a great cave. Here the animals in the aquarium find protection from curious co-inhabitants, they can crawl away after a moult, or the Crusta Cave serves as a hiding place for pregnant females. Always make sure to provide more hiding places for crayfish or crabs than there are animals in the tank to keep the stress level as low as possible .

The Crusta Cave can be perfectly planted with mosses or perching plants and a special plant glue or cyanoacrylate superglue - tying it on is also an option. This way the cave fits even more naturally into an aquarium with real plants.

The cave is made of fired dark brown ceramic and with its slightly roughened surface offers a large settlement area for the biofilms that are very useful in the aquarium. Bacteria settle here, which break down the organic loads in the water and which, incidentally, are also gladly eaten by shrimps, crayfish and crabs.
