Specially designed for South American dwarf cichlids, the GRNLO Apistogramma Hiding Cave has been optimized to meet the needs of cichlids and provides Apistogramma species with the perfect breeding cave and a good hiding place. With the Apistogramma Hiding Cave you give your dwarf cichlids from South America a plastic-free breeding place.
The Apistogramma Hiding Cave is open at the bottom and has a large opening of 2 cm in diameter. The Apistogramma Hiding Cave measures 6.5 x 6.5 x 6.8 cm, making it perfect for all South American species of dwarf cichlids.
The Apistogramma cave is made of natural ceramic for the aquarium. Its naturally open-pored surface promotes colonization with important filter bacteria and useful biofilms, in which pollutants are broken down from the aquarium water - purifying bacteria are enormously important for improving water quality in the aquarium. In addition, the biofilms on the Apistogramma aquarium burrow are particularly readily grazed by shrimp, snails, growth-eating catfish and dwarf crayfish in the aquarium.

For the planting we use popular aquarium mosses: the bottle-green, slightly transparent freshwater kelp, especially fine-threaded moss ball as a support, the classic somewhat coarser Spiky Moss or Peacock Moss, the relatively upright growing Flame Moss, Weeping M oss with its overhanging growing fronds, triangular fir-shaped Christmas M oss or also our classic, the medium green Java Moss. If the moss cushions become too large, you can simply pluck them into shape with your fingers or trim them with a good pair of plant shears.
