Banana tree leaves - 50pcs

Dried banana leaves have a similar effect as the proven sea almond leaves or even walnut leaves. They release humic substances and tannins into the water, which inhibit bacterial growth and the development of harmful fungi and can even have a healing effect in acute diseases. Furthermore, banana leaves provide valuable fiber and an optimal substrate for the biofilms that shrimp and snails like to graze.

Each packaging unit contains 50 dried leaves of the banana plant (Musa var. sapientum) with a total weight of approx. 50 grams. Our banana leaves are a purely natural product and are harvested and treated just as gently as our sea almond leaves. They are absolutely free of pesticides, harmful bacteria and other undesirable things.

The banana leaves are supplied in a resealable pressure seal bag including instructions for use and dosage. Dried banana leaves have almost unlimited shelf life.

The active ingredients of banana leaves are released into the water over a period of 1-2 weeks. Banana leaves give the tank a very natural effect due to their decorative appearance, so they can simply be left in the aquarium. In time they will be consumed by shrimps, snails and crayfish as well as sucking catfish.

The standard dosage is 1-2 leaves per 10 liters of aquarium water; for intensive treatment of acute diseases we recommend the use  of a quarantine tank. Here one doses then 1 leaf per 3 to 5 liters.
