Ammonium (NH4) in the aquarium water means that the filter bacteria are not yet working properly and that the aquarium is still in the run-in phase. If the ammonium value increases in the running aquarium, it is necessary to take care of the filterurgently.

In a new aquarium an increase of the ammonium value is followed by the nitrite peak. As long as ammonium is detectable in the aquarium water, fish or shrimps must not be added. The ADA Pack Checker NH4 water test provides reliable information about this important water value.

The very easy to use ADA Pack Checker NH4 consists of a tube with which you simply suck in some water in the aquarium. It contains all reagents and changes color according to the level of ammonium (NH4). The ammonium content in the aquarium can then be accurately determined by comparing the color in the tube with the enclosed table.
