Stainless steel remains more attractive in the aquascape than glass, and it is much easier to clean. The ADA Metal Jet Pipe Inflow filter inlet is designed for use in an open, frameless aquarium.
The highly visually attractive filter inlet is secured from the water intake with a removable, easy-to-clean grid that reliably keeps shrimp and juvenile fish out so they don't get sucked into the external filter. A separate Filter Guard or similar protection for the water intake of the external filter is thus not necessary.
The Metal Jet Pipe from ADA is available in the sizes V-1 and V-2. Both have a pipe diameter of 14 mm and thus fit 12/16 mm thick filter hoses. Both filter inlet sizes are optimized for the ES-600 external filter from Aqua Design Amano . With a length of 25 cm, the V-1 version is suitable for an aquarium height of 36 cm or a volume of up to 60 liters, while the V-2 version is 32 cm high and thus suitable for 45 cm high aquariums with up to 180 liters.
The simple but elegant shape of the U-shaped curved filter inlet for aquascapes does not distract visually from the layout. The elegant stainless steel filter inlet ensures optimal water circulationdue to its deep position in the aquarium.
The stainless steel Metal Jet Pipe Inflow filter inlet is attached to the outside of the aquarium pane with the permanently installed suction cup and is guided inwards over the edge of the aquarium.
Because the Metal Jet Pipe Inflow is somewhat larger than the inner diameter of the filter hose, it is recommended that the filter hose be briefly heated in hot water before installation to make it more flexible. A mixture of dishwashing detergent and a little water also makes the connection of the ADA Metal Jet Pipe Inflow filter inlet a little slippery. Thus, the filter hose can be pushed ona little easier.
